I looked at him, confused, and encouraged him to explain his concerns. “No, not Michelangelo,” he shook his head. “Nah, don’t be,” I assured him, completely misunderstanding his intent. “I’m concerned about your brother,” he started. He waited by the doorway, making sure everyone was in their rooms with their doors closed before speaking. I nodded, and followed him into the room. O'Neil called me into the kitchen as we all headed off to our bedrooms for the night.

He began to dance like the robots from the movie we had watched. When it ended, Mikey stood up and placed the popcorn bowl over his head.

We had all been watching a movie together in the living room. The first one to actually approach me about Leo was, surprisingly, Mr. I remember the first night I started to noticed it myself. Maybe they didn’t want to admit that there was a problem with our leader that had basically given up his life for us. Raph and Mikey had to have noticed this behavior, but they said nothing about it. Even when we would first begin our daily training sessions, he would be the slowest of us all, which was definitely out of the normal for him. He was very silent around us, only speaking when directly spoken to, and giving very limited responses. The last several days, I had noticed strange behavior from Leo. Leo was so still as he knelt with his back to all of us. I sat on the sofa with a book in my hands, but I wasn’t actually reading it. I watched curiously from across the room as Leo and Splinter meditated on the ledge of our water entrance to the lair.

Mikey was playing some mindless drawl of a video game. Raph was punching his practice dummy like the brute he is. For now, we were just enjoying some much needed downtime. But we would worry about that when the problems arose. Of course the Shredder was still out there, and we’d have to deal with him and our other enemies eventually. Ever since we stopped the Kraang, there had been almost nothing to do on our patrols. So I’ve been trying to figure out what’s causing him to feel this way. I’ve taken a huge interest in studying him over these last few days.

It’s fun trying to break down Raph’s mentality, and why he’s always so mad about something. My brothers make great experimental study subjects for my new found interest. He’s been teaching me so many things about psychology, which is something I never thought I’d get into.īut I have to say, it fascinates me, the study of mental behaviors. Lately, I’ve been hanging out with a psychologist, Kirby O'Neil. There’s so many things to learn and study and explore. I love science, there’s so many branches of it. My name is Donatello, and I am a scientist.
